In short
- Margly has a new feature: Competitor price monitoring. It checks every watched product once a day on Heureka and Zboží.cz.
- You'll see who undercuts you and by how much, where you stand among the offers, and how the gap developed over the last 30 days.
- You see Heureka competitors by name — including ratings, shipping prices, availability and Verified by customers certificates.
- For every undercut, Margly uses your purchase prices to calculate what matching it would do to your margin — and warns you when it's better to hold your price.
- The feature is available for Czech and Slovak stores from the Starter plan; the watchlist can be extended in blocks of 100.
How many stores cut the price of your best seller this morning? If you check competitor prices by hand, you only know the answer for the few products you happened to remember. Margly's new feature flips that: the watching runs by itself, every day, and you only deal with what it surfaces.
What price monitoring does
The monitoring answers the three questions you ask about prices most often:
Who undercuts me and by how much? For every watched product you see the gap to the cheapest competing offer in money and percent — plus the product's revenue over the last 30 days, so you know whether it's an undercut on a best seller or on a marginal product.
Where do I stand among the offers? Margly shows your position among all offers on the product card ("4th of 21 offers"), how many competitors have the product in stock, and how the cheapest price developed against yours over the last 30 days.
Who am I actually competing with? Expanding a product shows the full list of Heureka offers from the cheapest up — shop names, their ratings, shipping price, price with shipping, availability and Verified by customers certificates. The Competitors tab then builds a profile of each rival: how many products you share, how often they undercut you, by how much typically, what rating they have and whether they pay for card positions.
How it works
The setup is deliberately hands-off:
- Product selection is automatic. Margly adds your best-selling products by revenue over the last 90 days to the watchlist — the ones where a price war hurts the most. You can adjust the selection: pin a product, or exclude one.
- Matching is automatic. Products are matched with Heureka cards by EAN, or by name. No manual code hunting.
- The check runs every day. Margly goes through every watched product once a day on both Heureka and Zboží.cz. You see new undercuts the very next morning.
The only thing you need is a connected Heureka account for your market in Margly — that's where the named competitors and positions come from.
Margin impact calculated up front
This is the part that sets the monitoring apart from plain price tracking. Margly knows your purchase prices from your data — so for every undercut it immediately calculates what matching the cheapest offer would do to your margin: for example "matching the cheapest = margin from 41 % to 35 %". You decide with the numbers on the table, not by gut feel.
And it's just as important to know when not to match:
- A competitor sells below your purchase price. Margly warns you on such a product — matching would cost you money on every unit sold.
- Only sold-out competitors undercut you. A sold-out competitor puts no pressure on your price. Margly shows availability for every offer, so you can tell whether an undercut is real pressure or just a price tag on goods nobody can buy.
Room to raise prices
A price war isn't only about undercuts. The monitoring also finds products where you're needlessly the cheapest — you lead the card with a comfortable gap and can raise your price without losing the top spot. That's margin sitting on the table today.
CZ and SK separately, Zboží.cz on top
Markets don't mix: the monitoring keeps the Czech and Slovak markets separate, including prices in koruna and euros, and you switch between them with one click. On the Czech market, Zboží.cz joins Heureka — for a product you see the cheapest offer, the median, the offer count and the personal pickup price. One limitation is fair to mention: Zboží.cz doesn't provide shop names, so competitors there appear as numbers. The names come from Heureka.
What it costs and who gets it
Competitor price monitoring is included in the Starter plan and above:
| Plan | Watched products |
|---|---|
| Starter | 100 |
| Professional | 500 |
| Business | 2,000 |
| Enterprise | 5,000 |
If the base isn't enough, you can extend the watchlist in blocks of 100 products from CZK 49 (€1.99) per month — the per-block price decreases with volume. You can reduce or cancel the extension at any time.
In the trial you can explore the module with sample data; real price collection starts with the Starter plan. The feature is available for stores from the Czech Republic and Slovakia — where Heureka and Zboží.cz operate. Expansion to more countries is in the works.
How to start
- Have an active Starter plan or higher in Margly.
- Connect Heureka for your market in Settings → Integrations (the advanced conversion measurement key).
- Done — matching and the first collection run automatically, and you'll see data once the first daily collection completes.
If you don't use Margly yet, create an account — connecting your store takes a few minutes. And if you'd like to see what the monitoring looks like first, check out the preview at margly.io.
